Howdens announces that Andrew Cripps, Senior Independent Director of the Company and Audit Committee Chair, will retire from the Howdens Board of Directors ("the Board") at the end of the Annual General Meeting on 1 May 2025. Andrew was appointed to the Board in December 2015 and has served as Audit Committee Chair since May 2016.

Howdens also announces the appointment of Tim Lodge as independent Non-Executive Director of Howdens with effect from 1 January 2025. Following his appointment, Tim will join the Audit, Remuneration, Nominations, and Sustainability Committees of the Board and will additionally take on the role of Audit Committee Chair from 1 May 2025 following Andrew's retirement.

Tim is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has over 30 years' finance and accounting experience. He spent 26 years at Tate & Lyle PLC in various finance and commercial roles, including six years as Chief Financial Officer. He has also held Chief Financial Officer roles at the COFCO International group and the role of Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at Aryzta AG.

Tim is currently independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair of both SSP Group plc and Serco Group Plc, and Senior Independent Director of Arco Limited. He is also a trustee of the charity Gambia School Support and a Director of An African Canvas (UK) Limited.
